Interesting analysis, and I appreciate the glory you're giving to God, but I think we need to be careful not to take Bible verses out of context and in a trivial light. The verses you have brought to light are specific references to Jesus Christ and His work on the cross that is meant to cleanse us of our sins, and I would caution applying them to Tim Tebow.

I completely agree that Tebow is glorifying God in his actions and his amazing victory, but I don't agree that we should use the same verses that praise our Lord and Savior, Creator of the universe Jesus Christ to a man who's good at football.

I understand what you are feeling. Due to babysitting issues, it's hard for me to get to community group. I have been praying about being baptized on Sunday. After a lengthy discussion with a friend, I have elected to be baptized by a friend this summer. More personal & surrounded by my love ones. I will be praying for you as you work through this choice. my theory on why christian guys are so timid about dating has to do with the church's reaction against non-christian guys. whether they realize it or not, a lot of those guys think they're supposed to be wimps because it's the opposite of pushy non-christian guys.

I like your passion for the gospel, but you should really do more research before you make such bold generalizations.

First off there was no middle class in ancient Rome, and even if you believe there was some small wealth between the government and the subjects there is virtually no chance a minority Jewish religious figure would be a part of that class. The same thing goes for your idea of a peasant-born Jew being able to hold a white collar job. I'm afraid there was virtually no class mobility until the industrial revolution.

Furthermore, Jesus was most likely not homeless out of necessity but out of choice. Jesus enjoyed talking to the poor, hurting sinners so he spent all his time doing so, and in effect was homeless. There is countless times where he is said to "travel from village to village."

Christians should be willing to consider facts other than just the Bible for evidence. You may just find that it actually SUPPORTS the bible rather than refutes it.

That's a fine write up you did on your own personal journey regarding Calvinism. I very much relate as its similar to my journey. I actually found this blog after googling Chaddick, Bell, & Piper's names because I was curious if Tim has discussed the latest debate between the two.

Question: I am passionate about all three of your focuses in this blog. Its a brilliant concept! However I don't claim to be a Republican or Democrat. I do follow politics closely but my convictions tell me to never claim to be either conservative or liberal but seek truth above all. I agree and disagree with stances both parties take. So my question is why only have the elephant up top? Is this a Conservative, Republican leaning blog?

I've heard it explained thus: if we think of free will as 'the ability to do anything we want, whenever we want, however we want' we can truly ascribe that to God.
Human freedom is constrained by our created purpose, on the other hand.

Hi there.. I know little about Calvinism, but does it not teach that God completely "ordained" or chose those who would follow him -- that is, there is no actual "choice" in it for humans, he either chose us or did not?

I do not believe this is what Tim Chaddick teaches. Looking back on his sermon on Romans 9, he expressed God's sovereignty and man's responsibility are completely compatible... that is, God will give man over to the desires of man's heart... it is man's choice (and there is always a choice) of what he will choose.

Do you disagree -- because you say "..if you walk away from Reality LA believing Tim Chaddick is teaching free will exists...then obviously something is being lost in the message."

Do you attend Reality regularly?
